Nodes are different entities that collaborate and compete with each other.
Links are connections between the nodes. Can be represented as sharing or stealing information/resources between the nodes.
As the Network structures shift over time:
- Nodes are removed from the networks, or replaced.
- Links become active or inactive within the network.
- Links become stronger or weaker as they are used
- Network spatial and temporal distribution is important
The health of a system dictates the capacity for the system to create new nodes and links, and get rid of undesirable ones.
Large networks cannot hold as many links
Networks exhibit fractal behavior
