- Low diversity -> adapt with few others to mutually benefit
- Low connectivity -> dependance on each other
- Within species or group (intra)
- High diversity -> Individual will specialize to be useful
- High connectivity -> Resources are used more effectively
Cooperation intra species leads to competition inter species
Specialization comes from either:
- Competition between species with high diversity
- Cooperation within species with high diversity
Competition within group creates sub-group formation and trait emerging.
Diversity and connectivity will affect competition
- Low diversity and connectivity will increase competition intra species
- Cooperation requires a high connectivity
Distribution is also important.
